Facts:
In a move to help reduce the effects of voting blocs since
the advent of televoting in the Eurovision Song Contest, the 2009
edition re-introduced national juries alongside televoting in
the final, both contributing to 50% of the vote. This hybrid system
will be implemented in semi-finals for 2010.
As of 2010, the country which has entered the longest with no
wins to their name is Portugal. They started entering in 1964,
and are still awaiting their first win.
Finland
never won the Eurovision Song Contest before 2006. In 2006 Finland
took part for the 40th time.
In 2009 Malta
is presenting its 23rd entry.
